eNotary
What is an eNotary? An eNotary is a Notary Public who uses an electronic notary seal (certificate) (ENS™) that is secure and password protected to perform electronic notarizations. It is only issued to identity-verified Notaries under strict industry accredited procedures. It cannot be copied or reproduced and will reveal any tampering to documents.
How it works: A document is created, signed and notarized electronically. No paper is involved in the process. The signed and notarized document is sent electronically to the recorder's office. Once the recording office receives the data, it is automatically entered into the recorder's database. The digital certificate can be used to verify the documents integrity and the validity of the signatures and seal.
More and more industries that rely on
Notaries are shifting from traditional paper documents to
electronic files to enable a more efficient, smooth process
of their document management systems.
As Pennsylvania leads the way in use of electronic notary
seals, I am ready to meet that need. I have obtained
my Electronic Notary Seal (ENS™), and
am authorized to perform eNotarizations of acknowledgments,
jurats, mortgage, real estate, and loan documents, signature witnessings and almost any
legally permissible notarial act.
Personal appearance of the signer
is required with acceptable proof of identification.
